I just finished drinking a 1 Liter bottle of Diet Pepsi but my thirst was quenched prior to the liquid passing between my lips.
I’m learning more and more lately about creativity in my time in the presence of God. I’ve found that when I intentionally spend time emptying myself of the songs inside and the words I have within me that I get filled back up with more than I gave….both creatively and even just an overall satisfaction. When and where else is that possible… to empty something completely and yet find it overflowing?
I didn’t used to think of myself as a song writer, but I have found that I have songs within me and once I begin to sing them, I almost can’t stop the words from pouring out of me. When I write my thoughts out lately, I am filling pages upon pages.
Our Creator has given us creativity as a way to relate to Him. Often we think of it as mainly an expression for others or to get our thoughts out for the sake of ourselves. I’m remembering that we were created to use these gifts AS gifts for Our God and amazed by how He continues to give them back in abundance.
