This thread discusses the Content article: The Incredible Herc #112

I wish infuze would get back to faith-based news. The 5 latest articles are about comic books... that don't feature any narrative about faith. I can get the lunchtimegamevid and info about comics elsewhere. I come here to find faith-based news and what are we getting now? Comics. Even the movie reviews are good compared to comics. At least most of the movie and CD reviews have some faith-based element or some relevance in the faith-based industry.

Infuze has taken some risks here and I think it time that they are looked at with a more critical eye.

I also would like to see a lighter interface. When I tell people about Infuze, that's their number one complaint "it seems foreboding" - for a faith based news site.

Just some thoughts.

Hi Chris,
Thx for your comments. I appreciate your time and support. You raise some valid points. I've only just taken over the Comics Department (as of October) and am still adjusting to the role, but I see what you're saying. The structure of Infuze means that each Department has one day of the week for their major new material. My day is Wednesday, thus the proliferation of comics reviews and articles. I don't want the Comics section to be all about Christian comics however, or even Christian viewpoints on mainstream comics. I'd love it to be both - for Christians who don't read comics, for unbelievers who don't and for every combination of both. I have published the Dust article and also an interview with Christian writer Bryan Glass that you may find interesting and am also planning to do more Christian comics spotlights in the future. This won't be my department's only focus though, but every department has a slightly different approach. For me, I want everyone to feel welcome and at ease when reading anything from my department. Of all the artforms at Infuze, comics are probably the least recognised and most misunderstood. Thx again Chris.
His,
Kris
