Friday Night Lights: Let's Get It OnI'm glad to see that someone hangs onto FNL with the rabid intensity that I do! I completely agree with your last thought, too---the dialogue/performances between characters as they explore their relationships with each other feels utterly authentic to me in a way dramatic TV (which I gravitate toward anyway) rarely does. When I tell people about FNL, the football part of it is usually the last part I mention---I don't want people thinking it's a show about HS football, because that's just part of the setting, really. It all comes down to these terribly flawed people, the mistakes they make, their difficult emotions, their stark challenges, their faith or utter lack thereof ... it's just life, beautifully and genuinely dramatized.
