I'm curious to see what this will end up doing to T.V. and entertainment in general, if it lasts a significant amount of time. Wonder if it'll make anyone put down their remote in favor of other things (like ya know, books or something). Although, there'll still be the news, sports, and reality T.V.

It will be very interesting to see how all this shakes out. If research reports of budgeting woes are to be believed, TV and movie production could be in for some rough times ahead. Of course, if we're recession-bound anyway, that's among the least of our concerns (unless you work in those industries, of course). I wonder if---speaking more broadly of an economic downturn---we might all start picking up more books (from the library!) and finding less-expensive ways of entertaining ourselves, at least until the costs of producing films and TV shows can be downscaled.
