Color me disappointed. Cloverfield's kind of a cool name, but why all the hype and the mystery just to unveil a name we'd already heard? I expected more.

The trailer looks awesome, though.

I think it was more than just a reveal of the official title. This trailer asks more questions. We get to see just a glimpse of the monster disappearing behind the buildings as one crumbles. We see a lady being torn apart from something while two people in haz-mat suits pull her along (look for the shadows scene). You hear the sound of tearing flesh...gross.

So I thought this trailer created more tension and excitement for 1-18-08. There was a drawing of the supposed creature but it turned out to be a contest for fan-made....still, it looked amazing.

Sounds like the name of a subdivision to me ... Possible merchandising link?
