This thread discusses the Content article: lunchtimegamevid: The Golden Compass - Iorek trailer

I have heard a lot of troubling stories about this series (which started as a group of books). Mainly that the author is stronglty against faith, and at the end of his series the characters even kill the "God" in their world so they can do what they want too. And that this series is kind of the Anti-Chronicles of Narnia.

Now, please note, this is just what I heard (I have personally never read the series), but I think it is something to look into especially before involving kids in this movie/book/game series.

Let me know if anyone has heard anything else about this series. Not calling for a "Christian Boycott" of this series at all. That often angers me and is usually not effective. But I do think we should be aware of what is out there and judge for ourselves.
