My E3 2007 List 2007/07/08 16:29
E3 2007 is this week. Yea, it is smaller now and not nearly as exciting as it was in recent years, but there still are a lot of incredible games to be looking out for. Here are some of my favorites. What are yours?

Fallout 3: Coming out in 2008, this is the next game from the makers of The Elder Scrolls IV. Not satisfied with their previous work, Fallout 3 promises to be the RPG of 2008 to keep your eyes on.

Mass Effect: My early pick for not only RPG of 2007, but also game of the year...if it decides to come out before I die of old age.

Halo 3: Multiplayer mode is coming along nicely. Just how will that story mode come out? Also, will the graphics get even better before launch? Defintely a top selling game and early favorite for many magazines as game of 2007, I am defintely looking forward to this one.

The Witcher: This RPG is quite extraordinary. While currently only scheduled for the PC, keep your ears keen on this one.

All Pro 2k8 vs Maddden 08: My faith in Madden, and truly in EA as a whole, has dropped tremendously due to their shameeful releases on next generation consoles (Madden 06 and Madden 07 were duds). But Madden has the NFL license and as always is being hyped on every game site as going through drastic changes. All Pro will beat it in gameplay and create stadium/team options, and maybe even presentation. But Madden has create a player and the NFL license. Hopefully they do something with it this year.

NBA Live 08 vs NBA 2K8: This isnt even a contest anymore The Live series is as good as dead, regardless of how much hype they pour into the gaming media.. Don't get me wrong, I hope they bring it back to life because competition is great for the industry. Its why I cheer on all three systems. I want them all to do well. A better Live makes for a better 2K. EA has a lot to prove.

Rockband vs Guitar Hero III: I have to admit, Rockband has me excited having instruments based on Fender inspiration and offering a full band complete with drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, and a mic. This is one to keep an eye on.

Two Worlds: The game I bragged about in 06 is finally coming out...I think. After two delays the game is now set for August 14, 2007. Multiplayer mode with an improved combat system and larger world than The Elder Scrolls IV contained, this RPG has me excited.

Age of Conan vs Conan: While Age of Conan is more along the lines of WoW, Conan offers gameplay similar to GoW. Which comes out on top or are both winners?

Honorable Mentions:

Frontlines: Fuels of War
Fracture
Mercenaries 2
Tom Clancy's Endwar
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
Star Wars Legos The Complete Saga
Universe at War

Games that would make E3 2007 Rock, but probably will not show:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III & Battlefront III: Word on the streets says that this game is defintely going to be made. No clue when or by whom.

Gears of War II: you know its coming

Ninja Gaiden II: you also know its coming

Marvel Universe or DC MMO: Detailed info on both or either would be great

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2?: Which I knew for sure. The first one sure leaves room for a sequel.

Announcements that would be cool, but dont expect it:

City of Heroes coming to the PS3 & Xbox 360

Price drops on both the Xbox 360 & PS3

Wi gets a lightsaber game this year
-----

Ah, well. Game fans hope you enjoy E3 2007.

I know this is late but here I go anyway:

The Orange Box:

I'm a huge fan of the Half-Life series and am really looking forward to the next chapter. I also love puzzle games an Portal looks awesome. Plus it includes the awesome looking Team Fortress 2 multiplayer game. I'm sold and it is my must buy game coming out of E3 because despite all the other hype I still think this is going to be the best bang for my buck.

Assassin's Creed:

It looks fantastic and I love the idea of social stealth (Mainly because I don't like the light/dark mechanic of most stealth games.). The sci-fi aspects look interesting and the idea that I will be able to go anywhere and do anything without being a gangster (ok so Assassin isn't exactally a step up...) is very appealing to me. But I'm really ticked at the fact they are pushing the PC version back.

Bu dum! And that's it. Yea, I'm just a PC gamer and I'm very selective about the kinds of games I'm going to put my money down for. I would add Mass Effect and Halo 3 but since I don't have a 360 I cant get that excited about them.
