I am in the midst of reading 2 really good books. They are historical retelling of events, but they also have some personal significance for me.

Though I have a connection to them, anyone could get a lot out of reading these 2 books as well.

Faith

All of us, at one time or another, have been let down- disappointed by our brothers and sisters in the faith. We have also felt disappointment with God depending upon what He did, or did not do when we prayed and trusted Him.

But, what do we do when we are let down and disappointed by both God, as well as our brothers and sisters?

Out of Steam PDF Print E-mail
Personal Notes

Have you ever felt like you were just simply out of steam and could not come up with anything?

That's kind of the way I feel at the moment.

I just feel like I have so many good articles boiling around in my head, about half a dozen really good ideas for books to write and all of it is locked up inside of a totally out of steam locomotive.

I sit to write and nothing comes out. I am exhausted emotionally and physically and I feel like there's just nothing left to give, yet at the same time I know that when it is all finally unleashed, I will spew forth a torrent of writings that will flood out like a storm.

What causes the block? maybe emotional upheaval, like losing a grand baby, or not taking care of myself by eating right or exercising, or maybe the tons of stress from a daughter moving away, severe financial pressures, and lack of ability to get any sleep worthwhile.

Maybe all of the above.

I think God allows us all to struggle with serious trials, so that we will all see how desperately we need Him, and also so we will all see just how precious heaven will be. Maybe we don't think of heaven enough, or should I say, maybe we don't think of heaven in as glorious of a light as we should.

Anyway, I figured it was time to check in with you all.

I enjoy biographies.

It is always so fascinating to read about people's lives. I guess that's why when my mom produces family biographies in her genealogy work, I am so fascinated with the lives of my ancestors.
