My son and his wife have been expecting their first child, my first grandchild. They have faced challenges that have come along, and medical issues have dogged them.

They were taken today by ambulance to the University of Washington Medical Center. The doctor has told them they have very little chance of being able to save the baby's life.

It would take a miracle at this point.

This ordeal has now become a waiting game.
