Yoga meditation is an exercise program that includes stretching and exercises that use breathing and inner peace rituals to help participants find the peace and tranquility they are searching for. The focus of deep breathing is to help bring positive thoughts, feelings, energy and inner peace while releasing negative energy, stress, and anxiety through yoga. Meditation is also used during yoga to find peace. This is done through inner monologue which is a way of reflecting inwardly to deal with problems.
Yoga meditation teaches that stress is a result of the reaction to an event or situation, not a reaction to the event itself. If you can learn to control your reaction to the situations that occur you can control them through yoga meditation, Bikram yoga, beginners yoga, yoga poses and pregnancy yoga , and receive inner peace. Yoga meditation using the practice of breathing as well as focusing on a central thought or problem to discover the way to release the negative vibes and achieve peace on the issue.
During yoga meditation asanas or poses are used to release negative energy. Most yoga meditation classes will follow a specific flow in order to best achieve inner peace. You will usually start with a corpse pose in your yoga meditation class. This pose can be used before, between, or as a final pose. This pose focuses on inner reflection and relaxation, to achieve inner peace. You may then advance on to a Sukhasana pose which is a basic yoga meditation pose. In this position you will sit with your legs crossed on the floor using breathing techniques to remove negative energy and restore inner peace.
These are both basic poses in yoga meditation that can be done by most people even if they have physical disabilities. However, as the course advances more difficult poses such as inversions will be included for an even deeper level of focus. Yoga is based on the belief that as you move forward into more difficult poses you will achieve a deeper self understanding which will eventually lead to a feeling of peace. As the breathing becomes deeper and the physical difficulty advances you will see a higher level of self control and relaxation.
The aim of any course should be to achieve inner peace and be able to use the techniques outside of the yoga classes to deal with difficult situations. This takes a self realization on the student's part to use the techniques that have been taught in daily situations. This does not require that you take the time to get into pose and spend a half hour practicing inner reflection. You simply take a few minutes to breathe deeply and release the negative energy you are harboring.
